ABSTRACT

Bettina has recently been put in charge of the accounts office of a small chain of garages. She is expected to compile a range of data from the branches every week, and finds that many hours of her time are taken up with this. The branch managers are very busy and, although they are always prompt to send in car sales data, most of them have to be reminded time and again to send in the other reports. These include performance data on sales of parts and servicing, labour (hours worked), inquiries handled, discounts and miscellaneous costs.
