The coach and client deserve all the credit for making such great progress; however, these stories could have taken a different turn if these coaching relationships were not so strongly grounded in the organization. In order for coaching to flourish, many choices have to be made about creating the right context for coaching. As we will learn later with PharmaQuest, rushing in to initiate coaching with several leaders without first setting the strategic context for the initiative can have unforeseen and unwanted consequences.
