Color Grading

In Chapter 7, we looked at the different methods for ordering footage according to the cut produced by the editor. This term encompasses both the act of processing colors to make them match, as well as of purposefully distorting colors from the original source for aesthetic purposes. Before we look at the various color-grading options available to the digital intermediate pipeline, we will first look at the issue of color management.
