ABSTRACT
When a diode is connected as in the diagram above, with its anode to positive, we say that it is forward biased. A diode conducts only when it is forward biased.
When a diode is connected in the reverse direction, with its cathode to positive, we say that it is reverse biased. A diode does not conduct when it is reverse biased.
