ABSTRACT
A ferrite rod is a compact type of antenna, which is often used in portable radio receivers. Ferrite is a magnetic material. It makes the lines of force of the received electromagnetic field tend to bunch together through the rod. This increases the apparent strength of the signal and makes the receiver more sensitive.
