ABSTRACT
The Business Partner role has many similarities to that of an Internal Consultant and as a consequence many of the consultancy skills are included in the behavioural framework we have developed. In order to get a better understanding of consultancy skills, this chapter outlines one of the commonly used frameworks for consultancy and focuses on some of the key skills applicable to Business Partners, in particular the need to contract effectively with clients.
