ABSTRACT

As we near the end of this book, I’d like to take some time to offer some tips that can help make a session go more smoothly, both in the project and in the professional studio environment (Figures 13.1 and 13.2). Many of these deal with the physical layout of the project/mixdown space itself because without a decent monitoring and production environment some of the steps you’ve taken could easily and unnecessarily miss their intended mark. It’s important to remember that the hallmark of both a good production and a good production facility is their investment in the details. Basically, the glory goes not so much to those who simply do the job, but to those who take the time to get the details right. OK, let’s take some time to look at some of the details that can help your projects shine.
