Approaches to Scottish Tourism Public Policy

Building upon the heterogeneous approach to Scottish tourism advocated in Chapter 2 and used thereafter, this chapter instead adopts a policy network approach which explores the relative manner in which institutions; networks; interest groups, coteries; and elites endeavour to influence Scottish tourism public policy. It also compares their relative power, their relationships, and the contribution they make to Scottish tourism, and the wider field of economic development.
