HR strategy and competitive strategy at Marks & Spencer
INTRODUCTION This case on Marks & Spencer (M&S) presents us with considerable organizational challenges – many of them being central to HR strategy. When a company as successful as Marks & Spencer appears to lose its way, then it is far from obvious as to the most appropriate strategy to adopt. In this case study we will ask you to help to evolve HR strategies to turn M&S (as at 2001/2002) around.
