People as a resource

Now we will look at each of four resources in turn: people; equipment; land and buildings; materials.

There is sometimes some reluctance to see people as a resource. Hard-nosed senior managers may see them principally as a cost. Others may think that to regard people as a resource is to see them in the same way as materials or machines. But they are a resource and one that is critical to success.
