ABSTRACT
An acquisition title is a feature “lm, TV show, documentary, etc. that is purchased by a studio, network, or distribution company for the purpose of distribution. This may be brand new product or even an older library of movies or TV series. Sometimes this is referred to as the •back-endŽ (the product is being •picked upŽ for distribution after it has been created). Often the license fees paid for the distribution rights represent a sizeable amount of money for the producer, so it is very important that all delivery requirements are met. This can get complicated because there will probably be multiple •distributorsŽ for product and there will be differences in their delivery requirements.
