ABSTRACT
As may be seen in the plan view, the central part of the proscenium theatre is the stage itself. As previously discussed, downstage is down toward the audience, and upstage is up toward the back wall. Stage left is to your left if you are facing the audience, and stage right is to your right. Audience left and right are just the opposite. The proscenium frames the stage for the audience.
