ABSTRACT
The effects on Xpress Pro can range from very basic to extremely intricate. Every effect can be placed into one of two categories: transition effects and segment effects. An additional way to define effects can be whether they are horizontal in nature or vertical. Every effect available in Xpress Pro can be accessed through the Effects Palette. Xpress Pro has the capability of playing back up to five real-time effects simultaneously. A transition effect creates an effect between two clips in the Timeline. The Effect Editor lists different groups of adjustable effect parameters in collapsible twirl-down menus. Xpress Pro determines what needs to be done between keyframes to make the effect flow properly. Effect nesting is a powerful feature of Xpress Pro that uses its ability to build an effect within an effect. On most high-end video effect editing systems the smooth page turn and 3D transitioning is standard operational procedure.
