ABSTRACT

Under discussion up to now have been the consequences of the theoretical framework for the agents with a more or less ‘fragmented’ relation to a building. Although complementary, they focus on their own process: design and construction of the building, management of the exploitation process and definition of demand for a building's services supporting the primary process. The project developer, the quantity surveyor and – to a lesser extent – the project manager take into account more than one of the three processes mentioned in order to reach their goal or fulfil their task. They may benefit from the description of the relations between the three types of processes.
