ABSTRACT
Dictionary definitions of the word ‘confidentiality’ usually contain such words as ‘classified’, ‘restricted’, ‘personal’ and ‘intimate’. These terms imply something that is secret or personal to the individual involved. But confidentiality also applies in the wider context to organizations and to the people in them.
