ABSTRACT

In general, there are four basic ways to show your work. First, you can enter your animation in festivals and other competitions; if you are accepted, your work will be seen by festival audiences and you will gain recognition as an animation artist. Second, you can submit your animations to a distribution service such as Microcinema International. This distribution service shows work in alternative screening venues like film cooperatives, special programs in festivals, and museums. Third, you can submit your work to Web showcases. These sites function as online galleries featuring the work of various video and animation artists. Fourth, you can distribute your work yourself to others on tape, disc, or the Web.
