Managing the feedback There is commonly a difference between the expectations of the manager about what a job is intended to deliver and the experience and perceptions of the jobholder about how the job is actually progressing. Such a difference could be a source of tension. But, properly handled, it can become a strength. That is why the preparation of the feedback is so important. The returning information has to be cast in a form that makes for ease of interpretation. Here the facilitator has a vital role to play in working to improve and maintain the reliability and quality of the information that is being processed.
