This book explores many unbuilt projects ofRobert and James Adam, and it seeks to relate the rich variety of these projects to the equally rich variety of their built work. Robert Adam was responsible for most of the designs, so references to ‘Adam’ alone refer to him. References to James Adam always include his first name.
