In order to get a hold on how HD compares with other origination systems it is instructive to add together all the expenditure right up to the cutting room door. Once the material enters the cutting room the variety of processes that may be chosen are so great that direct like-for-like cost comparison
is very difficult. In order to make this comparison I have made certain assumptions, as follows:
1 The unit is required to shoot 5 minutes of cut screen time per shooting day.
