Shared Responsibilities

The responsibility for training and development is shared between several important groups in the organization. Among the groups are the participants, the immediate managers of the participants, key managers in the organization, and a variety of individuals and groups involved in design, development, analysis, coordination, and delivery of the training and development programs. Although these groups of people have always had the responsibility for training, organizations are deliberately shifting responsibility and are preparing them to accept responsibility.
