ABSTRACT
Self-assessment is a process of determining the degree to which an organization meets certain criteria. It is performed by the organization upon itself to identify opportunities for improvement.
ISO 9004 defines self-assessment as a carefully considered evaluation resulting in an opinion or judgement of the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization, and the maturity of the quality management system.
