Writing software - more advanced techniques
It is very useful if all programming documentation is of a standard type. This helps the programmer to get used to a particular style and form the habit of producing well-documented programs. An assembly language program should have a neat and logical layout so that a hard copy will be both easy to read and understand. The more information you include, the better. It is often the case that when you come back to a program you yourself have created, you may still find yourself asking: 'Now I wonder why I did that!' especially if you come back to it some months later. Program comments can prove to be extremely useful at such times!
