ABSTRACT
In lithographic printing, dots are used to reproduce an image onto paper. Look with
a magnifying glass at your favorite magazine, you can see these dots. Combing the
skills we learned from adjustment layers and layer masks, we will take you through
the process of creating halftone patterns, you can use for artwork. Open Chapter
22/HalftoneRadial.tif, which is a radial gradient in an adjustment layer. Choose
Layer >> Rasterize >> Fill Content on the gradient adjustment layer to make it
into a standard layer of pixels. The next filter we are about to run will not work on
an adjustment layer, the image is in grayscale mode which affects the result of the
halftone filter.
