Creating a New Logic

KNOWING HOW WE KNOW I bought my son Nick a watch for his birthday. As he adjusted the hands, he said, "It's impossible to set the correct time because time is passing while I am moving the hands." While our perceptions and the systems of belief they form are our primary way of making sense of the world, they are also our way of concealing it. Reflecting is that precious moment when we pretend time stands still; for a split second, we dip our toes into a flowing stream of consciousness where past and future are lived in the present and an entirely new world appears before us.
