Project stage 2: plan

Now that the terms of reference have been agreed with the sponsor, a detailed plan of the work has to be prepared.

A project manager often considers how much of his or her time needs to be spent on preparing a plan. A simple project could be viewed as one with a small budget, or a small number of people involved. A complex project would be the opposite, where the budget would be large, more than three or four people involved in the team and, perhaps, where there are a number of different locations involved in the project.
