Information and communications technology: the impact on buildings: Bill Southwood

Since the early 1980s information technology has had a major effect on the way buildings are used, controlled and constructed. Arup COlnmunications has been at the forefront in advising clients and designers on the use and installation of information technology. More recently, with European Union innovation funds, the company has pioneered the use of information technology to improve comlnunications between designers and constructors.
