ABSTRACT
Most books dedicated to specification writing fail to address the crucial decision-mak-
ing stage during which individuals actually select certain products or choose certain
parameters. This chapter investigates the various, and often conflicting, selection cri-
teria that may be employed by specifiers to achieve their objectives.
