Risk, control and time
There are three key risk management issues which need to be carefully considered a t the outset of any IS development project. An assessment of these is vital to the development of a risk management plan. These issues are control, cost and time. They are of fundamental importance to how the risk of any particular IS project will be managed and thus need to be considered at the outset of any risk planning initiative. IS risk management is an intervention in an IS development project that will provide the project manager with greater control, but it will cost money and it does take up valuable time. There is always a trade-off between these three variables.
