ABSTRACT
In 196l the report ‘Homes for Today and Tomorrow’ was published by the Parker Morris Committee of the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (MHLG). The standards in this report, which have subsequently become universally known as Parker Morris Standards, were imposed as mandatory on local authority housing in 1967 and were converted to metric in 1968. They ceased to be mandatory in 1981.
