ABSTRACT
Lately, however, it has all begun to get too much. His team has just started a complicated maintenance job that requires a lot of overtime. He is having to spend a lot of time on top of his normal work documenting procedures for his section’s new quality manual. His wife is complaining about how little time he spends at home with his family. The new area manager is being difficult, changing a lot of working practices that have been agreed for years. John is worried about allegations that one of his work team has started drinking heavily at lunch times. John fears that the standard of this person’s work may drop, putting the safety of the systems at risk.
