ABSTRACT

We discussed three main sources of heavy demands: the work itself; the people at work and others who indirectly affect you at work; and change. Some types of work are more demanding than others, and some times are more demanding than others. Demands can be time-based, mental, emotional or physical. Demands coming from people can be especially acute and difficult to manage. Demands from major changes are largely outside the control of individuals. But you can take measures to help you cope with these changes.
