ABSTRACT

Making false teeth is a part of my Advanced Makeup class. In this class, students are required to make two types of false teeth: a pair of fangs and a set of crooked teeth. After the class, some students made fangs for fun for Halloween parties. Making fangs involves directly building up on top of the positive teeth mold. Making a set of crooked teeth requires both a positive and negative mold to complete the process. Making vampire fangs for the production Dracula and crooked teeth for the musical Big River demonstrate executions of making false teeth. False teeth on stage are used for the special characters in the play. They can dramatically change the actor’s physical appearance to support the character’s disposition and mood and the theme of the play.
