ABSTRACT
The Stage 2 syllabus for the CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing is designed to prepare
students for roles in operational marketing management. The syllabus is a crucial document that
defines and identifies the areas for your study across all the modules you take for the Diploma.
It also defines key supporting areas for study of the marketing discipline including key skills and
Professional Marketing Standards (previously statements of marketing practice). These are
covered later in this unit.
