You’ll remember from elementary school that sound
travels slowly. If you’re trying to beatmatch by
listening to a speaker that’s even four meters away,
the few milliseconds it takes for the sound to travel
the length of two basketball players is enough to
make your mix sound like a pair of sneakers in the
dryer.
