ABSTRACT

Primary color correction is the process of setting the overall tone, contrast, and color balance of an image. Secondary color correction is a further step that refi nes the image in specifi c geographical regions or in specifi c color vectors of the image. Don’t let the word “vector” scare you. There are a number of defi nitions for vector that are used when discussing color space. It basically means the specifi c location or coordinates of a color. A vector can also mean the direction that something is heading from one point in space toward another. So essentially, in the color correction world, vector is just the technical word that defi nes a specifi c color.
