INTRODUCTION Movies can be fi lmed either on a soundstage, where sets are constructed and the environment is completely controlled, or at an existing location that meets or can be altered to meet, the requirements of the story. Shooting on location can add to the realism of the scene, but can also increase costs and complicate logistics.
