ABSTRACT

Types of numerical data Numerical data are most often either univariate or bivariate. Univariate data are composed of individual values that represent just one random variable, x. The information presented in Table 1.1 is univariate data. Bivariate data involves two variables, x and y, and any data that is subsequently put into graphical form would be bivariate since a value on the x-axis has a corresponding value on the y-axis.
