ABSTRACT
The Media Manager is a powerful search and retrieval tool used for quickly finding media. It provides a way to catalog all of the video, audio, and still images used in the projects or anywhere on system hard drives and organize them into multiple categories for instant identification. It also provides three ways to search and find media quickly. Starting with Vegas Pro 8.0, the Media Manager is an optional installation. One important option on the General Preferences tab is “Save media-usage relationships in active media library. The Options dialog is accessed by the icon on the far right of the toolbar called the Media Library Actions button. The Media Manager creates a library called “Default” when it is first installed. The Quick Text or, as it’s sometimes called, “keyword” search will search all of the fields in the library. The advanced search looks in individual fields.
