ABSTRACT

HRD program results have both tangible measures and intangible measures, which are defined as benefits directly linked to the program but not converted to monetary values. Although intangible measures may represent Level 3 or Level 4 data, they are usually Level 4 soft data. These measures are often monitored after the program has been conducted and, although not converted to monetary values, are very important in the evaluation process. While the range of measures is almost limitless, this chapter presents twenty intangible measures that represent some of the more common benefits linked with HRD. Table 12-1 lists the measures briefly described in this chapter. It should be emphasized that specific measures selected are unique to the HRD program being evaluated.
