ABSTRACT
I’ve always been impressed by graffiti art in the streets of Rio de Janeiro, where I have lived for the past three years. One of the most active and great graffiti groups here is the “Fleshbeckcrew”, and the artist, Toz, always designs a very cute and expressive little girl on the gigantic panels they paint everywhere. I was so inspired by his art that I decided to design my Spacegirl. I was also heavily influenced by Junko Mizuno, a great character designer from Japan. I guess I mixed their styles together and added my own style to it to create the image you see here.
