ABSTRACT
You need a mid-range zoom for this type of subject. As with anything, the sharper, the better-but the 18-70 mm kit lens should be fine. If you can afford a large-aperture lens for indoor shots, that’s even better. If you’re already used to shooting kids with a zoom and want to punch it up, go for a mid-range prime, like a 50mm lens. It’ll make you work, but the results will be worth it.
