ABSTRACT
The spa industry has witnessed continuous and explosive growth over the last decade. To put the current state of the industry in some perspective: there are now far more spas than there are Starbucks. At year-end 2007, there were just over 15,000 Starbuck locations worldwide, but according to SpaFinder, there were 16,000 spas in the USA alone, and over 50,000 spas around the globe.
