ABSTRACT
Although this book is not intended to be an entry-level text, I have explained things as simply as I can wherever possible. Mindful of the fact that some readers may not have English as their first language, I have tried to avoid colloquialisms and slang as much as possible, and have done my best to write as clearly as possible. I hope that more experienced audio professionals will regard the sometimes lengthy explanations of what they may consider to be basic points as useful reminders about how things work that they can skip past easily enough if they wish.
