ABSTRACT
For me, there are many stages that I have to go through before I can actually make a painting. The initial one is to construct a solid drawing foundation; then I will select pleasing colors and structure the composition. The former is to search for interesting ideas, the latter is to gather references efciently. Missing one part may fail the painting. Each skill or idea may take years to master, but the most important part is a strong desire for painting. It is the origin and source of power for making art!
