ABSTRACT
The material in this last chapter will brief you on some of the key guidelines for any edit session. Regardless of the editing fashion of the day, these practices have been around for quite some time, and although they have evolved somewhat over time, they have stayed true to their original intentions. We are looking to provide some basic ideas for you, the new editors, so that you may absorb these concepts and also move forward with your editing careers. We want you to think on your own as well, and learn by doing. The common grammar presented here gets everybody on the same page. Your editing craft will evolve over time as you creatively expand your skills.
