ABSTRACT
This chapter provides a handy reference that helps one to understand the key concepts of Photoshop. Photoshop From Adobe Photoshop, a well-known and widely-used graphics editor. The Magic Wand selects ranges of similar colors, such as this sky (left). The Tolerance setting on the Options bar determines the color variation that the tool will include in its search. QuickMask is one of the best ways of making selections in Photoshop. Layer Styles add special effects to all the pixels in a layer. Unlike applying filters or painting directly onto a layer, Layer Styles can be turned on and off at any time, added to, modified or copied to other layers. Adjusting the brightness and color of an image is the key not only to producing crisp images in Photoshop, but also to make elements of a montage fit together.
