ABSTRACT
An increasing proportion of electronic systems process data in digital form. Yet the input from sensors is often analogue — for example, the signals from a microphone or a thermistor.
On the output side, we often need to convert the digital output of a system to its analogue equivalent. Examples of analogue output devices are loudspeakers and variable-speed motors.
