ABSTRACT

The collation of existing research results and data from published secondary sources for a specific, often unrelated, project.

Crouch and Housden (2003) define secondary desk research as:

Data that has already been published by someone else, at some other time period, usually for some other reason than the present researcher has in mind. The researcher is therefore a secondary user of already existing data which can be obtained and worked on at a desk.
