Because of the nature of maintenance work, it is not possible, at the outset, to clearly identify what works the Contractor will be obliged to carry out; therefore, the contract identifi es the geographical area(s) where the work may be required to be carried out, and this is referred to as the Contract Area (see First Recital). Subsequently, the Contract Particulars provide further detail by providing a list of properties where work may be required and a description of the type of work that may be required.
