Option X2 – Changes in the Law This is an interesting provision which provides that a ‘ change in the law of the project ’ is a ‘ compensation event ’ if it occurs after the contract date. From the architect’s perspective the effect of a change in the law is to reduce the total time charged if the prices are reduced.
